By december I will have been living in Belize for 7 months...in January I have to go back to California and finish school before eventually deciding upon where I will end up living. I have been living in a little house in San Ignacio, in the Cayo District (very lovely). I've been teaching organic farming to kids and making school gardens which has been such a wonderful experience. But for those of you who have lived here for an extended period of time, not just toured, wouldnt you say your experience is far different from that of a tourist? As much as I love the relaxation and vibes here, there is just so much more going on, entertainment-wise (art, dances, gatherings, groups, etc) where I come from in California. I've met my partner here in Belize and it is such a struggle wondering where we will end up living...any opionions? on everything from a simple life, to not having money if you live in belize (like if i wanted to visit my family in ca sometime)...thanks!
