  I am off to Placencia next week. Staying at Kitty's. I hope it's ok. Worried about getting ripped off and taken advantage of (redundant is redundant).
  
  Other than that, I look forward to great fish and perhaps some fun SCUBA or snorkeling. Any recommendations?

    placencia is nice, but there isn't much there in terms of nice places...i was there last march and it all got wiped out by the last storm...
    
    i would head up to dangriga and take a boat out to tobacco caye...nice small caye and it is amazingly relaxing and beautiful. the prices aren't too bad either...bring your own scuba gear cause most of it sucks or is in terrible condition.

      It's cleaned up a bit, but seeing pictures from before, I realized how devastated the area was. We stayed at Kitty's Place which was totally fine. My wife can't lounge around as much as I can, so it wasn't the ideal place for her, but I think I really liked the area. Fry Jacks and Panty-Rippers were the best. Oh, and I hope everyone who goes likes fish.
