We did that (Placencia and the Monkey River trip) and it was great. It was raining while were literally in the rainforest...so cool!

im' in placencia right now... went to monkey river yesterday... saw howlers and iguanas and lots of birds and got bit to shit by bugs despite greasy anti-bug crap... all in all i loved it! monkeys in the wild... staring at us as we stared at them... one of our group got pissed on!
