Just don't get bamboozled by those out to scam you - the majority of the people I've met here that have bought land have gotten screwed - no joke. Be sure to make sure it's not lease land, or you'll have the title, yet it won't belong to you. The only real estate agent I know of that is recommended by the us embassy is Macarena Rose here in San Ignacio at rainforest realty. I'd check the embassy listings to see if any others are mentioned, and also...rainforestrealty.com. I'm just after Tillets on the left now. It's the perfect location. Myself and 3 other friends found a place with a couple acres, and there are 4 serarate places there. Tons of room for Frisbee! Too perfect! Our happy commune, hahaha!!! Has quite a few orange trees, and tons of other edible goodies growing there. I'm a 5 or so minute walk from downtown. I don't think I'll move any closer; this really is the perfect position. Is your family still in Santa Elena?
