Is it possible to Scuba dive without a full PADI certification in Belize? (such as a quick 1/2 day class) I heave heard this is possible, but wanted to hear it from someone who actually knows. My family is visiting Belize in December, and some of them don't want to have to pay the $300 to get PADI certified just for a one day dive.

The water is so clear and the colors so vivid, you would probalby still have a great time just snorkling.

it shouldn't be a problem. Most operators will do a supervised "resort dive", but you'll have to be closely watched by a divemaster or instructor.
